Time: 6:45PM – 9:00PM

  • Best elements of chocolate appreciation with the “most fun” section of the chocolate workshop.
  • Brief history of chocolate, learn how chocolate is made and the difference between milk, dark and white chocolate.
  • A fabulous hot chocolate, made to an early 17th century recipe.
  • Make and take home around 24 filled chocolates each.
  • Dip in chocolate and eat strawberries, marshmallow and Turkish Delight.

The Ultimate

Time: Saturday  1.00pm

  • The ultimate in chocolate making and is a must if you want to be a home chocolatier.
  • How to make ganache.
  • How to melt chocolate without destroying it.
  • Temper dark, milk and white chocolate using a household metal bowl.
  • Mould, hand dip and decorate chocolates.

  • Create personalised chocolates with their own hands and using fun molds.
  • A special box is given to each child so they can package their creations to take home – if they last that long!

The fresh cream truffles were a marvel - the fillings so light and airy and delicious...but it was the enrobed chocolates that were my favourite: the double enrobing providing a stark contrast between the thick wall of dark chocolate and the delicate melting ganache centre within. My personalised flourishes to each chocolate were the highlight of course.

Four hours flew past, and by home-time we each had a box to take home containing close to a kilo of handmade chocolates... And whilst we may be no closer to becoming professional chocolatiers, we undoubtedly became even bigger fans of chocolate and all its sensory pleasures.

Had the best time making my own chocolates! Such lovely hosts, it went at a good pace and considering I'm more of a savoury snack lover, these chocolates have certainly caught my attention.
