Giving someone an experience that they will enjoy as a gift is a great idea, certainly much better than receiving flowers for my birthday! Everyone that went to the chocolate making workshop had a great time and really enjoyed themselves. Learning to make chocolate cream truffles with a great bunch of people was a great present.

The chocolate making day was great! The staff were lovely, nothing was too much trouble, they answered all questions and there was just the right mix of practical experience and information, humor. Not only did we come away with some delicious chocolates that we all hand made ourselves, we learned some easy but effective tips. I would certainly recommend this experience to others.

I absolutely loved the chocolate making course and would highly recommend it to my friends and family. I had so much fun and learnt so much about chocolate (the good, the bad and the ugly). The only disadvantage is the future weight gain as I will definitely be making my own chocolates at home now!

The teachers Josef and Connie and so outgoing and open up your knowledge about the chocolate world. You get to meet new people and trial out some seriously good chocolate! Your getting your hands dirty with chocolate for 4 hours, what more would you want! And to top it off you get to take all the yummy chocolates you hand-made home.

Great course. I now feel confident making chocolates. I gave this course as a gift to my younger cousin who has recently lost her father. It was a great chance for us to spend time together. Supplier, chose her to do the moulds which was pretty special, she had a wonderful time. I gave the chocolates to my family for Easter, they loved them. The staff were great, very passionate and clear.

It was fantastic. Joseph is very passionate about what he does and gets everyone excited. It's a very hands on day which is wonderful because you are encouraged to make a mess! He doesn't rush through it and encourages everyone to ask questions. Connie, his assistant, is lovely and just as helpful. A great day, and I learnt something!! Even better!

The chocolate-making workshop was a lot of fun thanks to Joseph, our chocolatier, who also was very informative. Joseph also encourages us to phone him whenever we have a query about chocolate. His assistant Connie was also great; both friendly and helpful. We've learnt some things that we'll be able to do from home. And you do take home a good amount of chocolate (mine totaled 38 pieces).

Everything about it was fantastic. To be able to get your hands in and dirty, full of chocolate and make your own and then bring them home to show everyone was great. My kids think I'm amazing now that I can actually make chocolates. I would recommend this to anyone that loves chocolate.

This was better than I expected! Joseph was just a wealth of information and his passion for his art was evident. He appeared to really enjoy having us there and passing on his tips of the trade... and we came home with a box of lovely "handmade by us" chocolates.

If you love to cook, and you love to eat chocolate (and lick it off your fingers) then this is definately an experience for you. I went with my boyfriend and we walked away with two boxes full of chocolates that we had created ourselves. What an experience... the smell, the taste, the knowledge, I would do it all again!

The experience I had was exactly what a birthday present should be - fun, something you wouldn't normally do and totally indulgent!

The fresh cream truffles were a marvel - the fillings so light and airy and delicious. The filled heart-shaped chocolates were decadent with their thick armour of shiny chocolate, but it was the enrobed chocolates that were my favourite: the double enrobing providing a stark contrast between the thick wall of dark chocolate and the delicate melting ganache centre within. My personalised flourishes to each chocolate were the highlight of course.

And whilst we may be no closer to becoming professional chocolatiers, we undoubtedly became even bigger fans of chocolate and all its sensory pleasures.  More...
